Wells Fargo Credit Card Payment Methods

Like the vast majority of financial institutions, Wells Fargo offers its customers a number of credit card options. If you are a cardholder for a Wells Fargo credit card, they offer a handful of ways that you can make a payment on your bill.

Option #1: Online Payments for Wells Fargo Credit Card

To make an online payment for your Wells Fargo Credit Card, you will need to get an account through the Wells Fargo Accounts Online Sign Up page.

On the sign up page, you will have to enter your social security number, your account number and email address, then move on to filling out more information that will include your log in information for the account. Once your account has been created, you can make an online payment by following these steps:

1. Navigate to the web address wellsfargo.com/cardholders
2. Under the “Making my payment” header in the first bullet point, click the “Wells Fargo Online” link
3. In the dropdown, select “Transfer”
4. Input your user name and password
5. Click the “Sign On” button

6. On the Transfers screen, select a “To” and “From” account with the “To” being the credit card
7. Select an amount to transfer and submit the request

Option #2: Pay Credit Card Bill through the Mail

You can make a payment on your Wells Fargo Credit Card account balance through the mail if you would like to do so. If you no longer have the payment stub from the invoice that you received in the mail from them, you will have to write your credit card account number on the check or money order that you send to make your payment. Make the payment out to Wells Fargo and send it out at least five business days before the bill is actually due to avoid any complications from a late payment. Mail the payment to the following address:

Option #3: Wells Fargo Credit Card Payment by Phone

Wells Fargo Bank allows its users to make credit card payments over the phone. If you would like to make your payment on a Wells Fargo Credit Card account balance using their pay by phone system, you can do so by calling it at (877) 805-7744. You should have your credit card available when calling to help quickly identify who you are and ensure that it is your account that is credited with the payment. If you are paying from a banking account that is not from Wells Fargo, you will have to supply the checking account number and routing number of the account that you wish to make your payment from.
